DIY Cat Water Fountain



1) Prepare a water bowl, pump and injector

- Water bowl 
 In this video a bowl with a diameter of 30cm and a height of 13cm was used. It should have a larger diameter than the fountain and have a height enough to pump is submerged.

 - Pump
 Most injector connection diameters are 13mm. Let's buy a pump with the same connection size as it.

 - Injector
 In this video an injector with a height of 17cm was used. However It is recommended that you use a smaller one because the water splashes around and the sound of falling water is loud.

2) Connect the pump and the injector. (Buy a pump with the same connection size as injector)


3) Place the pump in a bowl and fill with water. If the water height is not higher than the inlet, it makes noise.


4) Things to Improve
 - The pump is noiseless. However, the sound of falling water is loud. It is recommended that you use a small fountain or place something on the spot where the water falls.

    What's the gallons (or liters) per hour of the pump you used? It doesn't seem to say on the page you linked. A picture of the pump label might help. You have some great project ideas.
